IS “ARCHITECTURE” A RIGHT, IS “BUILDING” ONLY A PRIVILEGE?

 

Architecture is, perhaps, the most transparent value signifier a community, culture or system can manufacture. How do we engage ourselves in our education to support and participate in discussions and projects that address the underprivileged communities and invite minorities into mainstream discussion around architecture.


THE DESIGNER AS AGENT OF CHANGE:

 

If every action is political, then necessarily so must be every piece of architecture. If culture is made manifest through architecture, then its designers hold a pivotal position in this exchange. How do we make change without the licences to do so?


CONGRESS: ONE HIT WONDER?

 

The event of ASAC every year sparks intense debate, discussion and student passion over the course of the days leading up to, during and some weeks after Congress. How do we keep the passion for these issues alive when we go back to school on Monday morning? What media do we engage with? How should Congress activate our passion?
